NOLO is an independent project, not a venture-funded company chasing your attention and your data. It exists because of one stubborn belief: a tool this useful shouldn't cost you your privacy to use it.
Most AI apps ask for an email before they'll say a word. Then a password. Then they keep your conversations on their servers, study them, and quietly build a profile of who you are. It became normal. NOLO is a small argument that it doesn't have to be.
You open it and you can start typing. No sign-up screen, no email, no "verify your account". Behind the scenes there's just an anonymous ID, generated on your device, that acts as your account. Your conversations live in your browser, not in a database with your name on it. The AI still has to send your message somewhere to answer it, so instead of hiding that, NOLO shows you exactly where it goes and what's kept.
It's built and maintained by one person, not a team of growth marketers. That's a limitation in some ways, and a feature in others: there are no investors to please, no incentive to harvest data, and no roadmap driven by anything except making a genuinely private, genuinely useful tool.

It's the starting point. No account, no email, history on your device, and an honest page about the parts that aren't perfect.
Honesty over hype
We'd rather tell you the model we run and where the limits are than pretend to be magic. You can check every claim yourself.
Fair, not free-at-a-cost
Free to start, with honest paid plans if NOLO becomes part of your work. The price is the price; your data isn't the product.
For everyone, in their language
The whole interface works in 30 languages, because privacy and good tools shouldn't be an English-only privilege.
What NOLO is not.
Knowing what something isn't is part of trusting it.
- Not the most powerful AI on earth. NOLO runs strong open-weights models, but it isn't trying to beat the frontier labs at raw intelligence. It competes on privacy, breadth and price.
- Not a replacement for a professional. It helps you draft, summarize and review. For anything that matters, check its output against a real source or a qualified person.
- Not a big company. No support floor, no PR department. Just one person who reads the emails and ships the fixes.
